REVIEW: ASG CZ 75D Compact Air Pistol

This non-blowback CZ 75 D Compact has a beautiful dual tone metal slide. In addition to the metal slide the pistol has the same great features and functions like its counterpart, the all black version. The airgun has authentic CZ markings and unique serial number. The front waiver rails give you the opportunity to mount laser and flashlight. The rear sight is adjustable to secure better accuracy. The magazine holds 17 BB's and also stores the 12g CO2 cartridges. The Magazine is protected with a rubber base, so it doesn't break easily if it is dropped. The grip is rubber patted and with the high rise beavertail, it secures a firm grip with perfect control. The pistol comes with a tool allowing you to change the CO2 cartridges in the magazine and unscrew the front to unveil the silencer threads.

The average FPS was above 390fps and you should be able to get 3 reloads on a single CO2 cartridge. Trigger pull is light and crisp. The overall feel is like firing a C02 blowback. The ASG CZ75D Compact is a solid performing air pistol that is ideal for in-door or outdoor use.

5Good Replica
By Amazing Customer
I own a CZ 75 9mm. Thought that this would be a cheap way to practice in my back yard . I'm happy with the gun although the trigger is very stiff. Oil loosened it some what. Overall a good buy.

5Solid Pistol!
By Paul
Overall, I liked this pistol. It has very clean lines with few markings which would reveal it to be a replica pistol. The rubber grips and rubber magazine butt plate are unique enhancements to a BB pistol and feel great. The gun has 3 dot sites, with the rear one being adjustable for windage with the enclosed multi-tool. Although it does not have blowback, nor a metal slide, the slide is functional and can be pulled back to cock the hammer - allowing the gun to be fired in single action as well as double. The slide catch is molded into the frame and non-functioning so the slide cannot stay back in the retracted position. The gun shot consistent 2-3 inch groups at about 30 feet. The follower on the BB magazine did leave a lot to be desired. The spring tab on the follower is much too small to get a grip on and took repeated attempts to get it into the retracted position to load the BB's. I resorted to using the allen key on the multi-tool to slide the tab back. I also found that a flat-head screwdriver worked much better at turning the CO2 piercing screw located in the butt plate than the flat-head attached to the enclosed multi-tool. Both work, but are still a hassle. Although the gun is not on par with the 75 P-07 Duty model, it's still a solid gun and a keeper.

History behind the firearm that inspired the ASG CZ 75D Compact Air Pistol

CZ 75 D Compact is a self-priming pistol manufactured by the Czech arms factory Uherský Brod. It is based on the design of the CZ 75 pistol, from which it differs in particular from the light alloy frame and in that it has a locking point for the drain cock and a warning. It also has grooves for attaching a laser sight or lamp. The shape of the glove and the grooving of the handle allows gloves to fire. Meets NATO standards. It is designed for long-term wearing and aiming shooting up to 50 m. Sights are equipped with three luminescent points for aiming under reduced visibility.

Design and Development

Equipped with a decocking lever, the PCR is designed to be decocked before holstering. After decocking, the trigger pull is much like that of a double action revolver. While there is no need to flip a safety lever off, the relatively longer and heavier trigger pull for the first round requires the conscious decision to pull the trigger before firing. Other additions to the PCR include rubber grip panels, serrated front and back straps for improved handling and a loaded chamber indicator.

CZ 75 D Compact is a self-priming pistol with a short lock on the barrel. It has a locking shutter system with a swinging upwards upwards into two locking teeth. It is equipped with a double-acting SA / DA trigger mechanism. Weight with empty tray is 800 g. The length of the weapon is 184 mm, height 137 mm and width 37 mm.

The safety elements are the tap drain from the tensioned position, the safety claw on the tap (a notch on the tap which prevents the accidental firing if the wake is tightened during manual tightening of the tap), the hammer on the safety notch is not clamped but slightly diverted backwards) and blocking of the igniter (prevents the movement of the firing pin, if the trigger is not pressed all the way, prevents accidental firing especially when the loaded weapon falls).

The magazine is large-capacity, double-row with a single-row outlet and a capacity of 14 rounds. It is fitted with a rubber shoe. It uses 9mm Luger charges. Each pistol is provided with a serial number on the barrel, on the frame and at the end and is provided with a matte non-reflective finish.

The CZ 75 D Compact pistol is used by the Czech police, where the pistol was replaced in 2001 by the police. The Czech police removed a total of 46 thousand CZ 75 D Compact pistols with accessories, which are a spare magazine and a plastic case with tools for maintenance and cleaning arms. Its variants are also sold to private owners.
